N. Bhaskar Rao Biography

Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao, also known as N. Bhaskar Rao is a well-known politician and political strategist from the newly formed south Indian state Telangana. He is currently a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the constituency, Miryalaguda since 2014. He won the state assembly elections in Congress ticket in 2014, and later joined TRS which invited a lot of controversies. His supporters felt deceived by his decision to change parties after the election. He is a close associate of Kunduru Jana Reddy for long 35 years, and played a crucial role in his victories since late 1980s.

Nallamothu Bhaskar Rao hails from Mudigonda, Warangal, Telangana. He was born on March 18, 1953 to Nallamothu Venkata Ramaiah and Lakshmi Kanthamma. Bhaskar completed his graduation from Khammam. He participated in first ever Telangana Movement in the year 1969 while he was a student. He was serving as the General Secretary of Students Union, SR & BGNR College, Khammam while he participated in this movement. He even faced 16 cases as a student’s leader associated with students’ union.

He was elected as Chairman of Agricultural Market Committee Nidamamoor, Nalgonda District. It was his first stint with politics. Over the years he established as a leading politician in united Telugu state. He also gained recognition and reputation as a Political Strategist in Nalgonda district, and he is best known for his strong links and easy connection with grass-root level party workers. As a political strategist, he has spearheaded Local Body Elections, and played an important role in the elections of Miryalguda Municipal Council since 2005. In 2014 he got elected to state assembly as Congress party, and later changed his political affiliation.
