Mugdha Chaphekar Biography

Mugdha Chaphekar is a popular Indian television actress. She came to limelight with her role as Sanyogita in the television series Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. Aarti in Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on SAB TV is her next top rated role. She has also appeared in lead role in Dharam Veer on NDTV Imagine and Mere ghar ayi ek nanhi pari on Colors TV. But both failed to impress the audience. Still she is known for her role played in ‘Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan’. She along with Rajat received Star Parivaar Yogya Jodi 2007 awards. At present she appears in the show Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo on SAB TV as Aarti alongside Sumeet Raghavan and Tiku Talsania.

She was born on March 24, 1987 in Mumbai. As a child artist, at the age of 5, she has appeared in Dharmendra movie, Aasmayish. She has completed her graduation in English Literature from D.G. Ruparel College, Mumbai. She was doing her final year in the college when she shot for the serial - Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan. She has also appeared in small roles in Kya Mujhse Dosti Karoge, Solah Singar, Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin and Hello Dolly. She appeared in a new avatar as Chandini in Meri ghar aayi ek nahni pari. She was appreciated well with the beautiful bridal makeup for the show.

Mugdha has also appeared in television ads like - Clinic Plus, Rexona, Coca-Cola and Reynolds. Now she is popular with comedy sitcom of SAB TV, Sajan Re Jhoot Mat Bolo, a sequel of the successful comedy sitcom, Sajan re jhoot mat bolo. Mugdha plays the role of 3D’s niece, Dwani in this sitcom. This serial is revolving around Indian marriages in a comic way.
