Money Sharma Biography 
Money Sharma is a professional photographer and photojournalist from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His works regularly appear in some of the leading newspapers and magazines in India, and a few from abroad such as The Huffington Post, The Washington Post, etc. His works also appear in other forms of publications, in India as well as abroad. He received National Geographic Channel India’s Nat Geo Moment Awards III in the year 2011, and many more honours. Ganga Aarti or worshipping the river Ganges at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi earned him this special honour at the age of 25. He completed his graduation in Mass Communication in Delhi, worked as a journalist for a while before he pursued photography fulltime.
Money Sharma was born on July 22, 1986 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was brought up in Varanasi, where he finished his schooling. For graduation he moved to Delhi, where he completed Mass communication. He worked in Delhi for one year in 2005 and then moved to Mumbai to become a journalist. He joined Bollywood Hungama as an assistant editor, and worked for some time. However he left his journalist career to pursue photography in 2011.
He earned National Geographic Channel India’s Nat Geo Moment Awards III the same year. Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi during the Ganga Aarti earned him the award. Aarti is carried out by thousands of devotees in the evening who gather at Ghat. Money took several pictures and finally settled with one picture. He earned the coveted award from among 65,000 entries and got a special chance to intern with Steve Winter. He got opportunity to learn more about photography from Arko Datta. He has trained under this award-winning photographer before he was selected for Nat Geo Moment Awards. Since then he is a full-time photographer, who works as a freelancer for different kinds of publications.
