Mona Thiba Biography

Mona Thiba is a Gujarati film actress, who appears in Bollywood and Bhojpuri films too. She started her acting career in 2000 and has spent nearly 2 decades in the entertainment industry. She is quite popular in Gujarati and Bhojpuri film industry, though she has done only a few roles in Bollywood. She was seen in a special appearance in song "Dhoka Dhoka" from Ajay Devgan’s "Himmatwala". She is known for her dance roles in movies. She appeared in Gujarati films, Aasude bhinjaye gharchholu aasude bhinjaye chunadi, Dikri No Mandvo, Kanku Purayu Maa Amba Na Chowk Ma, Baap Dhamaal Dikra Kamaal, Gago Ke'dada Nu Painu Painu Karto'to, Mota bha, Rajwadibapu Ne Rang Chhe etc. She hosted Gujarati quiz show - Saval Ek Lakhno.

 

Mona Thiba hails from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Currently she lives in her hometown. During her childhood she was a stubborn girl. She joined film industry before she completed her 10th grade studies. In fact she completed her 10th grade while shooting for her first film. She started her acting career in 2000 and later became a permanent part of the industry, mostly associated with Gujarati and Bhojpuri films. She has also received limited success for her film roles, with lot of fans who love her dance moves. She played the role of Shivani in Bollywood film, Rama Rama Kya Hai Dramaa.

 

She has been a part of Bhojpuri movies like Ab To Banja Sajanwa Hamaar, Tohar Kiriya, Gabbar Singh etc. Currently she is married and has one child. She feels that Garba songs are the soul of Gujarati films, her Gujarati roles have been appreciated by audience. Dhol beat and Dhollywood are inseparable, as everyone say. Many garba numbers have been choreographed in her movies, including the most popular Leeli Limdi song.
