Mohit Sehgal Biography

Mohit Sehgal is a noted young actor of small screen, known for the roles Samrat Shergil in Miley Jab Hum Tum on STAR One and Haider in Zee TV's Qubool Hai. In 2011, he shared Favorite Off-screen Jodi award with his co-star Sanaya Irani at Galaxy TV Awards. In 2009, same role gave him a nomination for best actor at Kalakar Awards as well. Sanaya Irani is his girlfriend too. He made his Bollywood debut in 2007 with the movie, Delhi Heights where he played the supporting role of Vicky. He played male lead in 2012 release, Family Aa Rahi Hai.

Mohit Sehgal was born in Chandigarh in 1985. After education at Delhi, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams to become an actor. His acting debut happened with the Bollywood movie, Bombay heights in 2007. The movie starred Jimmy Shergill, Neha Dhupia and Madhavan in pivot roles. Mohit played the role of a youngster in this movie. The following year he made his television debut through the popular show, Miley Jab Hum Tum on STAR One. The show made him so popular that he decided to stay in the industry forever. He fell in love with his co-star Sanaya Irani and they bagged popular Jodi award at Galaxy TV Awards too. In 2010, they together hosted the celebrity dance show, Zara Nachke Dikha, previously hosted by Karan Singh Grover and Shweta Gulati.

In 2012, he played male lead in a comedy film titled, Family Aa Rahi Hai. The movie went unnoticed and he returned to small screen once again. He played male protognost in 2012-2013 soap opera, Mujhse Kuchh Kehti...Yeh Khamoshiyaan.
