Mishti Biography

Mishti, also known as Mishti is an actress associated with Bollywood, best known for her debut film, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable directed by Showman Subhash Ghai. She was later seen in Bollywood films such as Indra Kumar's Great Grand Masti and Srijit Mukherji's Begum Jaan. Now she also appears in south Indian films. Her real name is Indrani Chakravarty and she is from West Bengal. She made her Mollywood debut with Jinu Abraham's film Adam Joan released in 2017. Earlier she made her Tollywood debut with A. Karunakaran’s film Chinnadana Nee Kosam. In 2018 she made her debut in Kannada and Tamil movies too. She also appears in TV ads, of which her Vicco ad is most popular.

Her real name is Indrani Chakraborty, and she hails from Kolkata, West Bengal. She currently resides in Mumbai. She marked her acting debut with Bengali film, Porichoi released in the year 2014. It told the bond between a father and a daughter, and the veteran actor Prosenjit Chatterjee played her father’s role. She also marked her Bollywood debut with Subhash Ghai’s Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, the same year. But the much anticipated movie sank without leaving any traces, quite different from Subhash Ghai movies earlier, which successfully marked acting debut of many leading actresses of Bollywood in the 1980s and 1990s.

After appearing in a couple of Bollywood movies such as Great Grand Masti and Begum Jaan, she concentrated towards south, and marked her debut in all the 4 south Indian languages in a short interval of time. She shot an intimate scene with much older Naseeruddin Shah for Begum Jaan, which created a lot of buzz in 2017. In 2014, she marked her south Indian debut with Telugu movie, Chinnadana Nee Kosam followed by Malayalam debut in 2017 with Adam Joan and in 2018, Kannada debut with Brihaspathi and Tamil debut with Semma Botha Aagatha with a lead role.
