Misha Ghoshal Biography

Misha Ghoshal is a noted actress associated with Tamil cinema, known for portraying supporting roles. She was seen in A. R. Murugadoss's 7aum Arivu and Atlee's Raja Rani, apart from several hits. She is a noted theater artist who landed into the film world, after playing a few roles as a stage actress for theater. In 2011 she made her film debut with Tamil-Telugu bilingual 180/ Nootrenbadhu, and played a noted role of Nisha ravin kottai, a scientist in Suriya’s 7aum Arivu the same year. Since then she has portrayed numerous character roles on big screen. Yaazh and Unnodu Ka are her upcoming releases.

She played a noted role in the recent release - Visaranai, premiered at 72nd Venice Film Festival and won the Amnesty International Italia Award. The film was directed by Vetrimaaran and produced by Dhanush, and Misha played screen space with Dinesh and Anandhi.  She has played heroine’s friend’s role in many movies such as Vadacurry, 180 etc. Endrendrum, Vizhi Moodi Yosithaal, Ishtam etc are other noted works. During her early days, though she received many lead roles, she was reluctant to accept it, as she was not too serious about acting. She was also not willing to play too much melodrama on silver screen. Now she is ready to play lead roles.

She was born in Bangalore in the year 1989. She was a tomboy type of girl during her school days and never dreamt of coming into the field of acting. She was into modelling field and did a few live dance shows before she became an actress. She made her acting debut with theater before moving to television soaps and finally to big screen. She made her film debut through Cheran’s film in a small role of a sister, a Muslim girl, though most of her scenes were edited later. She was also seen in an uncredited role in Naan Mahaan Alla. 180 – was her first credited role.
