Milind Soman Biography

Milind Soman is one among the earliest professional male models in India. He became popular and a known face to everyone with the music video ‘Made in India’ of Alisha Chinai. He has also done a few more top hit music videos during 90’s. Apart beings one among the top male models of India all time, he is a Bollywood actor as well as a producer. He has also done a few south Indian and Marathi movies. In foreign languages, he has done a couple of Swedish movies. Captian Vyom was a popular Doordarshan serial of Milind Soman during late 90’s. Another popular serial was Sea Hawks of DD-Metro.

Among his Bollywood movies, the most successful one is December 16. He was the producer of his movie – Rules: Pyar ka super hit formula in 2003. He was paired opposite actress Meera Vasudev in this movie and proved to be a disaster at box office. His other Bollywood works include – Pyar ka dhun, Agni Varsha, Surya, Tarkieb, David, Do Paise Ki Dhoop, ,Ghanta, Jodi breakers,  Bhram, Jurm, Chaar Aane Ki Baarish and Bheja fry. Satyameva Jeyathe is a solo Telugu movie of Milind Soman. His Tamil works include – Payya, Alex pandian, Pachaikili Muthucharam and Vigathan. His foreign language works include - Arn - Riket vid vägens slut and Arn – Tempelriddaren of Swedish.   

Milind Soman was born in Scotland and he came to India at the age of 7. He was also a national-level swimmer for India during early days. Then his interest turned to modeling and became one among the earliest professional male models in India. He did many ads during early 90s for clothing manufacturers. Milind had a relationship with co-model Madhu Sapre with whom he did a controversial photo shoot during middle 90’s. The pair posed nude in a print ad for Tuff Shoes, wearing only shoes and a python wrapped around them. Cases were registered for illegal use of python as well as their nude pose. Later Milind married his French co-star Mylene Jampanoi, but got separated in 2009. Now he is living together with actress Shahana Goswami of Rock On fame.
