Milind Gadhavi Biography

Milind Gadhavi is a young poet associated with Gujarati literature. He is also known as a lyricist and comparer. Most recently he received Best lyricist award at Transmedia awards for 2015 Gujarati film - Premji: Rise of a Warrior.  The song - Me to suraj ne ropyo chhe aangne earned him the award. He is one of the budding lyricists of Gujarati cinema at present. He started writing poems at the age of 11.

He has recited his poems at Doordarshan, Akashvani, Asmitaparva and other live concerts of his state. His poems have been regularly published in several literary magazines of Gujarati language including Shabdasrishti, Gazalvishwa, Dhabak, Kumar, Kavita, Navneet Samarpan, Uddesh, Akhand Anand, Shabdalay and Tamanna. Apart from poetry, he also writes ghazals, nazm, geet, sonnet, free verse, triolet etc.

Milind Bharatkumar Gadhavi was born on May 1, 1985 in Datrana, Mendarda, Junagadh. Bharatkumar Gadhavi and Chandanbahen Gadhavi are his parents. His school education was completed at various schools of Gujarat and he graduated in commerce in 2009. He also holds an MBA degree. Currently he works as Assistant Manager at Saurashtra Gramin Bank, Junagadh since 2013.

He wrote his first poem while studying in 6^th standard and wrote the first ghazal two years later. Later he learnt the metres of ghazal and wrote several ghazals, nazm, geet etc and published in different magazines. He contributed maximum to the genre – ghazal. Started his career as a film lyricist in 2015, Premji: Rise of a Warrior, Thai Jashe! and I Wish are the movies for which he penned lyrics till now.
