Meghali Biography

Meghali is an actress associated with Tamil cinema who has just entered films. After playing a cameo role in 2018 Vikram - Tamannaah starrer Sketch, she is to play her first lead role for Arudra directed by Pa. Vijay. She is to star in a dual role in Tamil flick, Ragadam directed by Maha and is to join Bengali cinema this year through Nirbhoya directed by Milan Bowmik. A dubbed Hindi version of Nirbhoya will also be released. Thus she is to play lead roles in three movies this year, thus planning a grand debut, after a cameo role in the beginning of this year.

Meghali hails from Kolkata and is of Bengal origin. She was seen in a small role in Vikram - Tamannaah starrer Sketch in the beginning of 2018. She plays her first lead role in Arudra directed by Pa. Vijay – lyricist turned director, who is to direct his first fledge film in Tamil this year. Meghali plays a Malayali in this film. A dual role in Ragadam and Bengali debut film - Nirbhoya are other projects in pipeline. Nirbhoya is based on 2012 Delhi Gang Rape Case.

Meghali belongs to a musical family of Kolkata. But she always longed to become an actress, and did plays since school days. She grew up watching Kamal Hassan’s Sadma, and fell in love with Tamil cinema since then. She used to watch a lot of Tamil films and aspired to work in Kollywood someday. Later she moved to Chennai to pursue her acting career. She joined Mime Gopi's troupe and learnt a lot about acting. She got opportunity to work in television commercials and eventually got the opportunity to be a part of Tamil cinema. She also learns Tamil now.
