Megha Akash Biography

Megha Akash is a budding actress associated with south Indian film industry, who works in Telugu and Tamil movies. She made her debut in Telugu film LIE in 2017 playing the lead role opposite Nithiin. She is to mark her Tamil film debut with Enai Noki Paayum Thota opposite Dhanush playing his leading lady, and this much awaited movie is directed by ace filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon. Her second release, Chal Mohan Ranga got released in 2018 and she was once again paired with her debut hero, Nittiin. She also plays female lead in Tamil movie, Oru Pakka Kathai opposite Kalidas Jayaram, and the movie is scripted and directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan.

Megha Akash was born in Chennai in 1995. Akash and Bindu are her parents. She did her schooling at Lady Andal Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chetpet, Chennai. She later completed her graduation in Visual Communication from Women’s Christian College, Chennai. She bagged her first film project through Balaji Tharaneetharan’s Tamil movie, Oru Pakka Kathai opposite Kalidas Jayaram in 2014. But the movie is delayed and yet to get theatre release.

Telugu film LIE in 2017 marked her debut, and it opened to mixed reviews. Her second Telugu film, Chal Mohan Ranga released in 2018 also got mixed reviews. In both these movies she starred opposite Nithiin. Two of her Tamil movies are delayed for one reason or another, and both are directed by two ace directors of Tamil film industry - Enai Noki Paayum Thota opposite Dhanush and Oru Pakka Kathai opposite Kalidas Jayaram. She has also committed projects for Suseenthiran and Rajashekar. Megha dreams to play roles on south Indian screen similar to those done by Alia Bhatt in Bollywood.
