MD Asif is an Indian actor who appears in Tamil, English and Hindi movies. He plays supporting roles and negative roles. He made his acting debut with 2012 Tamil film – Thuppakki starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles. This action thriller was one of the biggest hits of the year and Asif portrayed the negative role of Asif Ali, the sleeper cell's second-in-command. He played the supporting role of Bunty in 2015 Tamil social thriller film - Tamizhuku En Ondrai Azhuthavum, directed by Ramprakash Rayappa. The film received positive reviews from critics. He was also seen in the role of Nagha Sadhu, a warrior in Hindi - English bilingual film Kamasutra 3D directed by Rupesh Paul.

The talented artist Md Asif originally belongs to Kolkata, West Bengal. He is also a muay Thai martial artist under the training of kecha Khamphadkee & Tony Jaa, and a hip hop. He received his debut Hindi flick, Kamasutra 3D solely because he is a trained martial artist. He did all his scenes by himself and never used a body double for the film shooting where he played the role of a warrior. He played a crucial role in the film and he was highly praised by the film director for action sequences. The erotic drama starred Sherlyn Chopra and Milind Gunaji in the lead roles and supporting roles were played by Makarand Deshpande, Gajendra Chauhan, Sushmita Mukherjee etc. The movie was screened at the Annual Cannes Film Festival in 2014.

MD Asif has played noted character roles in Tamil films. His body language suits negative shaded roles, which he portrays with perfection. His debut flick – Thuppakki is the best example. His role in the thriller was inspired by the famous role of Spanish actor Javier Bardem in No country for Old Men. This actor received training in martial arts in Thailand where he spent for a long period.
