Mayukh Hazarika Biography 
Mayukh Hazarika is a playback singer and music director from Assam. He is the nephew of Dada Saheb Phalke Award winner Dr Bhupen Hazarika, doyen of Assamese folk music and cinema. Mayukh Hazarika is born into a family of musicians. He is the son of legendary Assamese musician duo Jayanta Hazarika and Manisha Hazarika. Mayukh currently is the leading band member the Delhi based musical band - Mayukh Hazarika and the Brahmaputra Balladeers. He founded the band in 2014. He shot to fame with his album 'Sokue Jodi Kotha Koy' in 2009. Mayukh has released 7 albums till now.
He was born in Guwahati, Assam in the year 1971. He is fondly called Raja. He was born as the single child to famous Assamese singers of 1970s - Jayanta Hazarika and Manisha Hazarika. The duo has together performed live for many concerts in the 1970s. He lost his father when he was only 7. His father, the legendary singer died in 1977 in Kolkata at the age of 34 when he was at his career peak. He schooled from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Khanapara and completed college education from University of Delhi and IIM Indore. Mayukh was initiated to the world of music by his mother. After completing his Master’s degree in IIM, he started his professional career at NDTV Lifestyle in 2007 as the Head of camera.
Though he owned a professional career in NDTV, he also owned a musical career. He was active with his stage shows since then. He is married to Laili Dutta Hazarika who is also a singer. Currently he performs across the globe aside his mother and wife. He released his first album - Shilongare Godhuli in 2002. All Time Greats Jayanta Hazarika, Sokue Jodi Kotha Koy, Anuradha, Assamese Modern Songs, Assomor Chirajugamiya Geet and Monor Maram are his other albums.
