Manmohan Shetty is an Indian businessman, entrepreneur, film producer and founder of Adlabs Films Ltd, leading film production, advertising, processing and entertainment company. Adlabs Films Ltd - an advertising films processing company was founded in 1976, known for the highly acclaimed movies like Ardh Satya, Chakra, Hip Hip Hurray, Holi etc. After advertising many movies, Masoom became the first processed movie. His company went public in 2000 and now one of the leading film distribution companies of India. Known for its technical side, his company has received National awards several times. He owns Entertainment One production company which delivered blockbuster hits like Gangajal, Namastey London, Singh is Kinng and Munnabhai MBBS. Bluffmaster, Dev, and Waqt

 

Manmohan Shetty was born in Mangalore, Karnataka where he completed his schooling. He completed graduation from Mumbai. He founded his first company Adlabs Films Ltd as an advertising films processing company in the year 1976 and very soon it branched to technical aspects. It set up an art laboratory in Mumbai and the first film processed was 1983 movie – Masoom. Very soon 90% movies were processed by Adlabs Films – thus becoming the leading processing company. In 2000, the company was declared public and Shetty entered film exhibition business by launching India’s first IMAX Dome the following year.

 

He established Walkwater Media Ltd in 2007 and entered television and animation media as well. Adlabs Imagica, an expensive theme park is to be launched very soon in Maharashtra. Apart from a film producer, he has also served as the Chairman of National Film Development Corporation. He has also produced many movies and owns ‘Entertainment One’ film production company.
