Manish Gandhi Biography

Manish Gandhi is an actor and director associated with movies, plays and television. He is best known for his works in theatre and is a recipient of many honours and awards. As a television actor he appeared in Judwa Raja, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha 2, Gumrah: End of Innocence, I Luv My India, Haunted Nights, Crime Patrol etc. He has also shot the short film, Chai Shai Biscuits and also appeared in the short film, The Proposal. He has also acted in many TV ads, and became a familiar face to Indian audience through AirTel Ad.

Manish Gandhi was born in Chandigarh. He got into active professional career in the early 2010s. He started his career as a director during his academic years. He played the lead role in Rizwaan (2010), and later directed many films. He directed and acted in award winning film, Cock, in 2015 which won awards at many international film festivals. In 2012, he directed Vikram Phukan's Limbo. It was made after a crowd-sourcing campaign. The Proposal in 2018 is his most recent short film. He directs and acts in short films and plays.

He worked extensively with the Board of Education, Chandigarh conducting a Theatre in Education program. He had a short stint with FTII Pune, after which he was granted a scholarship from the Inlaks Shivdasani, Foundation in year 2009. As a play director he mostly directed musicals, as he is interested most in doing such works. He even dabbed into cinema and television, and has appeared in many TV soaps, mostly in supporting roles. Manish has managed to stay a popular face with the media in general.
