Mandar Chandwadkar Biography 
Mandar Chandwadkar is an actor associated with television and theater. Apart from Marathi plays, he is also active in Hindi television soaps. He currently plays the comic role of a teacher, Atmaram Tukaram Bhide in the longest running comedy sitcom on Sab TV - Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He has been a mechanical engineer in Dubai in the late 1990s before he started off his television career. He owns a theater troupe – Pratibimb and is known as a play director, apart from an actor.
Mandar Chandwadkar was born on July 27, 1976. Since school days he has been drawn towards theater and started acting in plays since then. In 1998 he formed his own theatre group called Pratibimb. He staged his first play, 'Aamhi Shaalet Janar’ in Marathi which was a major success. Even while doing mechanical engineering he never left his passion to theatre. He worked in Dubai for three-four years since 1997 as a Mechanical engineer before he moved back to India to pursue his dreams in acting.
Mandar Chandwadkar acted in a few Marathi films such as Mission Champion, Doghat Tisra Aata Sagala Visara, Sasu Numbari Jawai Dus Numbari, Golaberij etc. Don fool ek doubtful marked his television debut in 2005. However it was his role as a teacher in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which made him a household name. Though he played a funny teacher in the sitcom, his character played a good teacher, guide and friend to his students in the series. He was also seen in the investigation series on Sony television – CID in 2014. The actor loves to get involved in ad films and appear in a few more movies in distant future.
