Malavika Biography 
Malavika is an Indian actress who has acted in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam and Hindi films. She started her career as a model and did modeling for popular commercials like Fair and Lovely and this fetched her chance to act in films.
She was born on 19th July 1979 in Bangalore. Her parents are Brigadier Jayvibhav Konnur and Aishwarya. Her birth name was Shweta Konnur. Her debut film was Unnai Thedi in Tamil. She was only 19 when she acted in this film. She acted along with Ajith in this film and this was directed by Sundar. C. This film was released in 1999 and was a major blockbuster.
Her another film with Ajith, Karthik and Meena, Anandha Poongatre was also a hit and she could exhibit her acting talents in the film Rojavanam which marked her third success. Her film Pooparika Varukirom in which Sivaji Ganesan acted was a flop.
Almost all the films that she acted from 2001 to 2003 except Seenu were box office failures. She entered Telugu film industry through the film Priya Nestama. In the Tamil film Perazhagan she danced for a song with Surya. She acted with Kamal Hassan in the film Vasool Raja MBBS in 2004 and she entered Bollywood through the film C U at 9.
Her market increased after her participation in the film Chandramukhi with Rajnikanth, Prabhu, Nayanthara and Jyothika. She appeared in the song Vaala Meenukkum Vilangu Meenukkum in the film Chiththiram Pesudhadi. Her role in the film Thiruttu Payale won critical acclaim.
Some of the films that she acted include Vetri Kodi Kattu, Kandha Kadamba Kathir Vela, Lovely, Subhakaryam, Priyanesthama, Phantom Pailey, Apparao Driving School, Ayya, Naina, Paasa Kiligal, Vyapari, Sabari, Thirumagan, Naan Avanillai, etc.
She took part in the stage show of Mani Ratnam, Netru, Indru, Naalai. In March 2007 she married Sumesh Menon working in the Malayalam film industry after two years love. She gave birth to a baby boy on 26th November 2008 in Mumbai.
