Malaika Arora Khan Biography

Malaika Arora Khan is one among the most sought faces nowadays. She is popular for her item songs, dance steps and she is a successful model too. She got married to Arbaz Khan, brother of Salman Khan during 1998 when she was at the peak of her modeling career. When they got married the album Pyra ka geet where shown on television channels, that was a big hit too.

Though she was in modeling field and was selected as MJ of MTV, she got sudden attention when she sang and danced for a song ‘Chayya Chayya’ along with Shah Rukh Khan on the top of running train. The song of Dil se was beautifully choreographed by Farah Khan and when SRK-Mallaika pair danced on the top of the train, it was a fresh number to audience. Sukhwinder Singh and Ila Arun rendered their beautiful voice to make Chayya Chayya the top song of 1998. But suddenly, after the album Pyar Ka Geet she got married to Arbaz Khan and settled with her family life.

In 2005, she did another item number along with Shah Rukh Khan for Karan Johar’s Kaal. The song ‘Kaal Damaal’ was a huge hit too. Following its success, she did item numbers for Heyy baby, Ohm Shanthi Ohm and a Telugu movie Athiti. Deewangi song of Om Shanti Om pictured about 32 stars of Bollywood along with Shah Rukh Khan in a single item number.

Then came, the real chartbuster of her career. In Dabangg, she performed along with Salman Khan for Munni Badnam Hui. It’s perhaps the best among the best two item songs ever produced in Indian screen. Very soon ‘Sheila ki jawani’ of Tees maar khan pictured on Katrina Kaif hit the screens. Till now, hot debates are going on to who is the best – Sheila or Munna.  A few supports Sheila while the rest, Munni. Yet, truth is that both these item numbers are the biggest chart busters.  First lines Munni badnam hui are almost copied, both tunes and music from an old Pakistani movie song of 70’s.

After that item song, Mallaika is most commonly known as Munna. She is 39 now and mother of a kid. Yet she has not lost her fans all around the world. She had done only a few item songs that can be counted by finger tips. Yet, no doubt, she will be one among the most celebrated item girls in the history of Bollywood.
