Mahendran (actor) Biography

Mahendran is a film actor of Tamil language who started his career as a child artist during 1990’s. In 2013, Tamil film, Vizha placed him as a young hero. He was casted opposite Malavika Menon in the movie directed by Barathi Balakumaran. But the movie terribly fell at box office. Actually, MudhalKadhal Mazhai directed by Mathivanan was his first movie as a lead hero. But the movie went unnoticed. As a child artist, he has received Tamil Nadu state award twice in the 1990s - Thaikulame Thaikulame (1995) and Kumbakonam Gopalu (1998). 1999 Telugu movie, Devi earned him Nandi Award for Best Child Actor. He played child artist role in movies like Nattamai, Padayappa, Nee Varuvaena, Suriya Paarvai, Minsara Kanna, Mahaprabhu, Aaha etc.

This young actor was born in Chennai on 23 July 1991. He has done numerous movies as Master Mahendran since his early childhood. His first appearance was for the movie, Nattamai in 1994 at the age of 3. In 1995 he made his Telugu debut through Pedarayudu. Same year he received Tamil Nadu State award for best child artist for his performance in Thaikulame Thaikulame. After that he was regularly featured as a child artist in Tamil movies throughout 1990s. He also appeared in one Malayalam movie during this time, Mohanayanangal.

His career launch as a hero was to kick off with K. S. Saravanan’s Vaada Chellam in 2010. But the movie got shelved. His first movie as a solo hero was Mudhal Kadhal Mazhai, released in 2011 which went unnoticed. But with the 2013 release, Vizha he gained popularity from the public. Porida Pazhagu and Aakki are his upcoming movies.
