Mafia Sasi Biography

Mafia Sasi is a stunt master associated with Malayalam films. His real name is Sasidharan Puthiyaveettil and he has worked as a stunt master for more than 1000 films belonging to different south Indian languages. He has also acted in a few movies, especially in the stunt scenes. Sasi shot to fame after doing the stunt sequences of the Bollywood action thriller ‘Mafia’ in the 1990s and since then ‘Mafia’ tag got permanently added to his name. His son has also entered Malayalam film industry through the action film - Gunda, and the movie also stars many Malayalam cine artists’ sons doing pivot roles.

Sasidharan Puthiyaveettil is his birth name and he was born to Balan and Saraswathi at Chirakkal of Kannur district. He is married to Sreedevi and the couple has one son and one daughter. He completed graduation from Madras Christian College before he entered films. He got associated with cine world in the year 1982 as an actor and later moved to other roles. His dream was to become an actor, though he gained success as a stunt master later. He played the roles of gunda and villain in his early days. He stayed in the industry for almost one decade doing such bit roles before he got his big break as a stunt master for the film, Pappayude Swantham Appoos in 1992. His big break was given by director Faasil.

Very soon he established in this field and completed over 1000 films in the next two decades. He has assisted many stunt masters like Tyagarajan to learn stunt coordination. Occasionally he also appears as an actor in movies. As a stunt coordinator, Pattam pole, Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus, Pokkiri Raja, Dhrona etc are some of his recent works.
