Madhuri Dixit Biography 
Madhuri Dixit was a Hindi film actress who was born on 15th May 1967. She was one of the leading actresses in the late eighties and in nineties. She is a very good dancer and she appeared in so many commercially successful films. She won five Filmfare Awards among which four are for Best Actress and the one is for Best Supporting Actress. She was nominated for Best Actress award for thirteen times. She got Padma Shri award in the year 2008.
Her native is Mumbai. Her parents are Shankar and Snehlata Dixit. She belongs to a Marathi Brahmin family. She went Divine Child High School and Mumbai University and Parle College and wanted to become a microbiologist. She has two sisters, Rupa and Bharati and one brother Ajit. She married Dr. Sriram Madhav Nene on 17th October 1999 and has two sons, Arin and Raayan. Her husband is a cardiovascular surgeon and they live in Denver, Colorado, USA.
Her debut film in Hindi is Abodh in the year 1984. This film was not a success and so she could not get good opportunities for few years after that. The film Tezaab in 1988 was a blockbuster and then she got chances to act in a number of films like Ram Lakhan, Parinda, and Tridev. Her performance in the film Dil won her first Filmfare Best Actress Award.
Some of her successful movies are Saajan, Beta, Khalnayak, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, Raja, Dil To Pagal Hai, etc. Her films Hum Aapke Hain Kaun and the film Dil To Pagal Hai won her Filmfare Awards. The Indian painter M. F. Husain is a great fan of her. He made a film Gaja Gamini in which she was starred.
She performed dance for songs like Ek Do Teen, Humko Aaj Kal Hai, Bada Dukh Deenha, Dhak Dhak, Chane Ke Khet Mein, Didi Tera Devar Deewana, Choli Ke Peechhe, Akhiyan Milaun, Maar Daala, Kay Sera Sera, etc. She acted in the film Aaja Nachle in 2007 after the birth of her two sons. She appeared as a judge on dance show Jhalak Dikhlaja. She had completed 25 successful years in Bollywood industry and received Filmfare Special Award in its honor.
