Madhura Deshpande is a popular actress associated with Marathi television industry. She is also a trained classic dancer. She is best known for playing the pivot role of Gayatri in the daily soap - Ase he Kanyadaan. She plays the female protagonist of the show, the daughter of Sharad Ponkse, a disciplinarian Municipal officer. She is associated with Marathi television industry since 2014 and one of the popular young TV stars right now. She has also acted in the television show, Zunjh. She has been the part of several Ekankikas associated with Purshottam Shield, before she entered television.

Madhura Deshpande was born and brought up in Pune. Her birth date is March 29th 1992. Currently she is single. She is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and wants to become a well-known dancer, in parallel to her acting career. She has also trained other forms of classical dance, though she loves Bharatnatyam. She made her television debut in the year 2014 with show, Ase Hey Kanyadan, which made her popular. She shared screen space with stalwart Sharad Ponshe for this series. She played Ponshe’s daughter Gayatri in this series. The role wanted a trained classical dancer and that’s how Madhura bagged the title role.

She studied at Garware College, Pune and did her specialization in Bharat Natyam at Padmashree Sucheta Bhide Chaphekar’s dance school ‘Kalavardhini’. She is perfecting her acting skills at Maharashtra Cultural Centre. Madhura has performed in Purushottam shield, representing her college. Basically a stage actress, she prepared well for her debut television role. In fact she took it as a challenge and she achieved success of her hard work. She is quite popular among young TV audience right now.
