Madhulika Biography

Madhulika is a popular south Indian film actress, who works in Telugu cinema, known as Tollywood. She has worked in popular movies like Saarai Veerraju, Vettattam etc. She is an engineer by profession, who later chose acting as her profession. Though she has acted in only a few movies, her innocence and charm have won her a lot of praises and fans too. Madhulika remained a successful model who has done many ramp walks for leading designers, and she has been featured in many TV commercials too.

Madhulika hails from Ongole, Andhra Pradesh. She was born in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. Her real name is Manjusha, and she changed her screen name to Madhulika. Her father is a government employee who works with BSNL. She completed her engineering in IT from Holy Mary Institute of Technology Keesara, Telangana, then to be a part of Andhra Pradesh. She is an engineer by profession. But her passion towards fashion and acting brought her to cine world. She owns a brief career in modelling industry as a ramp model, and she has endorsed many products in TV commercials, and also print ads.

When she decided to join modelling industry instead of IT career, her parents were surprised at first. But later they approved her decision and supported her whole hearted. In 2008, she appeared in one TV show, ‘Happy Days’, where she was featured in its first season. In 2009, ‘Saraai Viraju’ marked her acting debut in Telugu cinema. She attended the audition for the film, which she finally won. She played the role of air hostess Preeti in her debut film. She was later seen in the film, Vettattam. In 2013, Madhu played Nandini in the Tamil love story ‘Isakki’. She was also seen in ETV’s daily soap ‘Aadade Aadharam’.
