Madhavaram Krishna Rao Biography

Madhavaram Krishna Rao is an Indian politician from the state of Telangana. He belongs to Telangana Rashtra Samithi, and currently an MLA. He represents Kukatpally Assembly constituency in state assembly. He also served as Vice chairman GHMC Kukatpally. Before the formation of Telangana he was associated with Andhra Pradesh state politics and he represented Telugu Desam Party then. He was one among the members of Telugu Desam who switched loyalty and jumped to Telangana Rashtra Samithi, after seeing no scope of growth of the Telugu Desam party in Telangana. Kukkatpally MLA was also unhappy with the government's exclusion of 26 castes from the BC category. Rao accused the TDP of not taking interest in the issue.

Madhavaram Krishna Rao was born in Kukatpally, Ranga Reddy District of present-day Telangana on February 19, 1967. Narayana Rao and Sakku Bai are his parents. He had a long-term association with Telugu Desam party from the Party inception. In fact he got elected to Telangana state assembly from Kukatpally Assembly constituency in 2014 on Telugu Desam party ticket.  Barely 36 hours before the polls for six MLC seats, the Telugu Desam MLA from Kukatpally, met TRS chief and Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao, at his Yerravalli farmhouse and announced joining the TRS.

He gave a statement that he joined the TRS for the sake of development of his Assembly constituency. Though AP Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu convened a luncheon meeting with him, he skipped the meeting citing that he needs to attend a funeral. However he met K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Currently he is an MLA representing Telangana Rashtra Samithi. He is married to Laxmi Bai and has two children.
