Luis Barreto Biography 
Luis Barreto is an Indian footballer from Goa who plays for East Bengal F.C. in the I-League. He serves as a goalkeeper to his team. Singh made his debut for Churchill Brothers S.C on 19 January 2013 during an I-League match against East Bengal F.C. He has later played for Mumbai, Mohammedan, East Bengal, Kerala Blasters and FC Goa. He marked his debut in the very popular Indian Super League in the debut series in 2014, and was associated with Kerala Blasters as a goalkeeper. The team played till final.
His full name is Luis Xavier Barreto. He was born on 14 October 1980 in Goa. Nuvem is his hometown, where he completed his education and practised football since young. His professional career began in 2012-2013 season with Churchill Brothers S.C., and got opportunity to play as a substitute for Steven Dias at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. Churchill Brothers won the match 3–0. After the 2012–13 season, though he signed Indian Super League, couldn’t join it due to legal issues and objection from the I-League clubs, who won’t allow any of their players to sign Indian Super League.
On 30 October 2013 Mohammedan S.C. broke that barrier and signed Barreto on loan. In 2014 he signed for East Bengal F.C. on a 3-year contract. Same year he signed for Kerala Blasters FC for loan, and played the opening match of Indian Super League’s first season. Till now he has played 16 Apps for Mumbai between 2012 and 2013 and 13 Apps for Mohammedan during 2013-2014 season. Currently he plays for East Bengal FC.
