Latha Venkatesh is an Indian television anchor who is working with CNBC TV 18 as new anchor. She is the chief of the Mumbai News Bureau and serving as the Banking and Commodities Editor.

She is a good commentator on money markets, share market and banking sector issues. She has been working as a business journalist since 1995 and has covered all markets including commodity market, stock market and currency debt market.

She got her graduation in Economics and Politics and then did her doctoral degree in Public Policy from Mumbai University. She worked with Economic Times for five years and then with Dow Jones newswires for another five years before she joined CNBC TV 18.
