Lalrindika Ralte Biography

Lalrindika Ralte is an Indian footballer who plays primarily as an attacking midfielder. He is the current captain of East Bengal FC, with which he had a long term association for many years. He is associated with professional matches since 2009, and has played for the Indian football clubs such as Churchill Brothers, Pailan Arrows, East Bengal, Mumbai City, Atlético Kolkata, NorthEast United etc. He has also played international matches for team India as a junior player and later as a senior player since 2007, as a member of U16, U18, U23 and Senior team. He is nicknamed as Dika and Didika.

 

Lalrindika Ralte hails from Mizoram. Lunglei is his hometown. He was born on 7 September 1992. His professional career began in 2009 with Churchill Brothers. He scored his first professional goal on April 1st 2010. His first goal was against JCT Football Club in the I-League to help Churchill win 6-0. After his first season in professional football Lalrindika Ralte signed for Pailan Arrows, then AIFF XI for one season on loan. He scored his first goal for AIFF XI on 3 December 2010 against Prayag United S.C, and his team won the match. It was the first ever match in the history of the club in the I-League.

 

He had a long term association with East Bengal during the period, 2012-2017. During this period, he played on loan for teams such as Mumbai City and Atlético Kolkata, after which he was signed for the next season by NorthEast United. In 2018 he re-joined East Bengal and currently playing with the team. Ralte has played for India at the under-16, under-19, under-23, and senior levels. His debut match happened in 2011 against Maldives in a friendly match.
