Lakshmi Mittal Biography 
Lakshmi Mittal is a great business man of India, chairman and CEO of ArcelorMittal, the largest steel industry of the world. He was born on 15th June 1950 in a Marathi business family in Rajasthan. He is the richest man in United Kingdom with a wealth of $38.1 billion and 6th wealthiest man in the world. He serves as the member of the Board of Directors of European Aeronautic Defense and Space Company and World Steel Association. He received Padma Vibhushan Award from President of India in the year 2007.
He got his Bachelor of Commerce degree at St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta with first class in accounting. His father is Mohan Lal Mittal and his brothers Pramod Mittal and Vinod Mittal are also running steel plant near Mumbai. He bought a run-down plant in Indonesia and established his international division. Today, Mittal Steel is the largest steelmaker in the world.
He set up Mittal Champions Trust to support Indian athletes. He awarded Rs.1.5 Crore to Abhinav Bindra for winning gold medal in Olympics. He founded LNM Institute of Information and Technology in Jaipur together with the Government of Rajasthan in 2002 to provide quality education.
He was accused of slave labor after the death of 23 miners in explosions in his mines in Kazakhastan. He is also accused of running coal mines there without following safety precautions. His relationship with the UK Prime Minister Tony Blair led to controversy. He purchased 20% shareholding in Queens Park Rangers Football Club and his son in law Amit Bhatia took a place on the board of directors of the club.
Lakshmi Mittal is living at Kensington Palace Gardens and this is considered to be the most expensive house. This has twelve bedrooms with an indoor pool and Turkish baths. His son Aditya Mittal married Megha Mittal and he bought a home for 117 million pounds for his son at number 6 Palace Greens, Kensington Gardens. When his daughter Vanisha Mittal married Amit Bhatia, he bought her a house at 9A Palace Gardens, Kensington Gardens for 70 million pounds. He owns many more houses and estates. The marriage of his daughter Vanisha Mittal was the most expensive in the world record.
