Kushboo Sundar Biography

Kushboo Sundar was born on 19^th September 1970. Her original name was Nakhat Khan. Kushboo is her screen name. She is an Indian actress, television hostess and film producer. She was born in a Muslim family in Andheri, Mumbai. She studied at Swami Muktananda High School. She has three brothers. She married Sundar C. and converted to Hinduism. She is capable of speaking Tamil fluently though she is not a Tamilian. She has two girl children Avanthika and Ananditha.

She started her career as a child artist in 1980. Her first film appearance was Thodisi Bewafaii in the year 1980. Then she acted in Laawaris in 1981. She has acted in more than 100 movies with many famous actors like Kamal Hassan, Dr. Vishnuvardhan, Rajinikanth, Ravichandran, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Sathyaraj, Prabhu, etc. She acted as the sister of Anil Kapoor in the hit film Meri Jung in 1980. She danced with Javed Jaffrey in his first dancing role in the super hit song Bol Baby Bol, Mere Song Bol.

She started her career in South India through the Telugu movie Kaliyuga Pandavulu with Venkatesh directed by Raghavendra Rao. She took part in the TV show Jackpot and acted in serials like Kalki, Janani and Kungumam. She acted in many movies in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannadam. Some of the Kannada films that she acted are Ranadheera, Anjada Gandu, Shanthi Kranthii and Yugapurusha.

Her interview for AIDS awareness in 2005 led to controversy. She supported the sex of girls before marriage with protective measures. Also she added that educated men should not expect his wife to be a virgin. Cases were filed against her and later they were withdrawn. Her fans built a temple for her at Tiruchirappalli and later this was razed after her controversial comments.

She entered politics in April 2010 and joined DMK party as a member. She is living in Chennai. She learned classical dance from her friend and actress Sukanya. She is a judge in the TV show Maanada Mayilaada.
