Kshitij Patwardhan Biography 
Kshitij Patwardhan is a cine personality associated with Marathi cinema and entertainment industry. He is known as a screenwriter, Theatre director, playwriter, lyricist and publisher. A recipient of numerous regional awards in Marathi language, as a screenwriter he shot to fame after three of his films, Classmates (2015) – remake of Malayalam 2006 blockbuster with the same name, Double Seat and Timepass 2 earned success in Marathi cine industry. Known for his association with the film director Aditya Sarpotdar, Faster Fene in 2017 is yet another noted work of this duo. As a playwright and director, Don Special and Nava gadi Nava Rajya are among his best and successful plays.
Kshitij Patwardhan was born on 11 January 1985 in Maharashtra. Pune is his hometown, and he was brough up in a Marathi speaking environment. Since school days he started writing, and won several prizes in writing competitions since then. Later he turned to a prolific playwright and film scriptwriter of Marathi language. Since college days, he started to think seriously to take writing as his profession. After studies he worked with an advertisement company in Pune. His print advertisement on “stop sex selection” got recognized nationally.
He earned success in the world of theatre, and is credited to bringing youth to the front seat among audiences who watch plays on stage. For making theater a popular medium among youth, his play Nava gadi Nava Rajya played a huge role. The show was successfully staged multiple times in different parts of Maharashtra and completed 475 shows. His political satire play Sagle Ubhe Aahet earned critical acclamation though was a commercial failure. He started off as a dialogue writer in Marathi cinema in 2010, and slowly turned a full-fledged screenwriter.
