Krishna (malayalam Actor) Biography

Krishna is a Malayalam actor who appears in movies and television shows. He has played both lead and supporting roles on big screen, and also played supporting roles in a few Tamil movies. He regularly appears as a celebrity judge for TV shows. He is a relative to Travancore sisters – Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini, and also yesterday actresses – Sukumari and Ambika. Old actress Lalitha of Travancore sisters is his grandmother, and hence Padmini, Ragini, Sukumari and Ambika are his great aunts. He is a relative of present-day actors, Shobana and Vineeth also.

He was born in Alapuzha, Kerala. Kainakary is his native place. He was born as the son of Mohan Divakaran and Radhalakshmi, the daughter of actress & dancer Lalitha. He has one younger brother. His education was completed at Thevara and Ernakulam. His wife Sikha is an advocate in Kerala High Court. He is currently settled in Kochi with his wife and two kids.

As a full-fledged actor, his acting debut happened with 1998 Malayalam period film, Daya directed by Venu. He played lead role opposite Manju Warrier, who was then the leading star of Malayalam cinema. It was the debut movie of cinematographer Venu as a director, and won him National award in this category as well. Despite getting positive reviews, the film met with box office failure. The following year he played supporting roles in two Mohanlal hit films - Ayal Kadha Ezhuthukayanu and Harikrishnans. Since then he has been regular in Malayalam movies.

Though he couldn’t achieve success in lead roles, he tasted success and popularity through numerous character roles he portrayed on screen. He also appeared in Tamil hit films like Piriyadha Varam Vendum, Shahjahan and Chennaiyil Oru Naal, apart from a few Malayalam hit TV shows like Sthreejanmam, Pokkuveyil, Amma Manasu, Ivide, Pookkaalam, Mandharam etc.
