Krishna Biography 
Krishna is a Telugu film actor whose full name is Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna. He has acted in more than 350 movies and has the credit of introducing first color movie in Telugu, Tene Manasulu, first Cinemascope movie, Alluri Seetharama Raju, first 70 mm movie Simhasanam, and first DTS movie, Veera Levara. He introduced cow boy style movies and James Bond sytle to Telugu film industry.
He was born on 31st May 1943 in Burripalem village of Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. His parents are Ghattamaneni Veeraraghavayya Chowdhary and Ghattamaneni Nagaratnamma. He was the eldest of the five children. He studied at local school and later joined school at Tenali and Narsapur and finished his S. S. C. and Intermediate. Then he studied B. Sc at C. R. R. College at Eluru.
He married Indira Devi on 1st November 1962 and has five children, Ramesh Babu, Mahesh Babu, Padmavati, Manjula and Priyadarshani. In 1969 he married actress Vijaya Nirmala. Vijaya Nirmala was already married and has a son Naresh from his first marriage. His son Mahesh Babu is one of the top actors in the industry today.
When he entered film industry he had to play insignificant roles in films including Kulagothralu, Padandi Mundhuku and Paruvu Prathishta. He acted in the lead role in Sunderlal Nehta and Gudachaari 116. His Kannemanasulu was a box office failure. He acted in films like Atthagaaru Kotthakodalu, Marapurani Katha, Undamma Bottu Pedathaa, Sthree Janma, Niluvu Dopidi, Vichithra Kutumbam, Akka Chellellu and Manchi Kutumbam.
He set up his own film production company Padmalaya films and produced high budget films such as Pandati Kapuram, Devudu Chesina Manushulu and Alluri Seetharama Raju. His film career spans over five decades. The years 1990 to 1992 were the darkest period in his life as nothing went right. His film Amma Dongaa! In 1995 was a huge success in his career. He received NTR National Award in 2003 and Padma Bhushan Award in 2009.
