Krishi Thapanda Biography

Krishi Thapanda is a model and actress who works in Kannada film industry. Nae in 2015 marked her screen debut. She rose to fame with 2016 film Akira, directed by Naveen Reddy and produced by S2 Entertainments. Akira is the first Kannada movie to ever be shot in Norway. She received a nomination at 2016 SIIMA Awards for best debutant actress for this film. After her Kannada debut she appeared in Kannada movies only, and those releases till 2019 are Kahi, Eradu Kanasu, Ira, Kannadakkaagi Ondannu Otti and Bharaate. She was a participant of Bigg Boss Season 5, and was also crowned Miss Karnataka 2014.              

Krishi Thapanda was born on 23 September, 1989 in Coorg, Karnataka. She schooled from Chinmaya Vidyalaya and took Diploma in Informations Science at HAL. Krishi also worked as an assistant manager at InterCall for some period. She started her career as a model as was crowned Miss Karnataka 2014, which gave her offers in Tamil and Kannada films. While working in InterCall, Krishi was offered a Kannada film "Kahi". But prior to its release, her Tamil movie Nae got released in 2015, and also 2016 rom-com film Akira, which gave her a promising career ahead. After that she fully concentrated on to Kannada films.

As a child, Krishi never thought of becoming an actress. But she was fond of different forms of art, though not specifically. She is a trained classical dancer. She appeared for a beauty pageant contest after 9 months in MNC. She won Miss Karnataka title in the “South India Queen 2014”, and her career changed to a new direction. Now with 6 releases in past 4 years she has a promising career ahead.
