Koneenica Banerjee Biography 
Koneenica Banerjee is a leading actress associated with Bengali cinema and television. She has also appeared in several telefilms. She is a recipient of Anandalok Puroshkar of Critics Choice for Abar Ashibo Phire in 2004 and also the prestigious Kalakar awards. She hails from Kolkata, and currently she is fully active in television shows. She is associated with entertainment industry since 2004, and currently portrays character roles on big screen. Haami and Hoichoi Unlimited are her recent releases.
She was born on 21 May 1980 in Kolkata, West Bengal. She graduated in commerce from South City College. She has been associated with theatre groups like Shishu Rangan and Aarobdho before her screen debut. TV serial Swapnanil on Alpha Bangla marked her television debut. Moloy Bhattacharya’s Teen Ekke Teen (2004) was her first feature film. She was also seen in a brief role in Chor O Bhagoban one year prior to it. Ak Akasher Niche, Megh Bristi, Ak Masher Gappo, Nil Simana, Sarkar ki Duniya and Andarmahal are some of the TV shows in which she appeared.
Her career was boosted hugely by the long-running soap opera, Ek Akasher Nichey by Ravi Ojha, that has kept audiences glued to the box. Her role as Pakhi helped her to rise to stardom. The success of Aabar Aashbo Phirey, the big budget movie also played a magnificent role in grooming her career. The film became a super hit.
Though she loves to work in Bollywood films and also parallel cinema, her dreams are yet to take off. Madhubala, Madhuri Dixit, Nicole Kidman and Julia Roberts are her screen idols. Listening to music, going on a long drive and chatting with friends at coffee shops are her favourite hobbies.
