Komal Nahta Biography

Komal Nahta is a noted journalist and Indian television host. He is regarded as the No. 1 trade analyst in Bollywood at present. Currently he serves as the editor and publisher of "Film Information", India's largest film trade journal. He also anchors many television shows based on Bollywood and is also in the advisory board of Cinema Capital and other top companies. ETC Bollywood Business on ETC and ZEE TV is his popular television show as a host. He has been hosting the show since April 2010. He also interviews film celebrities through his hosted programs and such programs are aired in all leading Hindi entertainment channels. He has launched a new film tabloid called "The Film Street Journal"

He was born in Mumbai on 30 April 1964. He has served as the Bollywood representative of the BBC for almost 10 years. He was appointed as advisor for film financing division, Asian Development bank, the first person belonging to cinema field. In 2010, he replaced TaranAdarsh as the host of ETC Bollywood Business on ETC and ZEE Cinema (UK). The program includes box-office reports of the Bollywood movies released every Friday and this show is aired on weekdays at 8:30 pm in India. Thursday episode includes the previews of the movies to be released the next day. 

Till 2012, he served as Editor of Entertainment website koimoi.com. But he left the position following a rift. He is married to Sangeeta and in 1997 he, along with his mother and sister was arrested for harassing his wife for dowry. Later they were released on a bail of rupees 10,000 each. He has done a cameo appearance in Farah Khan’s comedy – Tees maar Khan.
