Kishore Bhanushali Biography

Kishore Bhanushali is a film actor associated with Bollywood, best known for his striking resemblance with the evergreen romantic hero of Bollywood, Dev Anand. Though he is not a member of Dev Anand’s family or relative, his striking resemblance with the legendary actor has helped him to create a lot of buzz in the film circle, and also helped him to earn a few film roles, aping the legend. Dil, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi, Karan Arjun etc are some of his memorable roles on big screen in the role of a supporting/comedy actor. He is also known as the duplicate of Dev Anand.

 

Most of the comic roles he played on screen were of comic shades, and got associated with Bollywood in the late 1980s. His role as a college student in Aamir Khan-Madhuri Dixit starrer Dil released in 1990 is one among his most memorable roles onscreen. He also played lead roles in a few, though were unsuccessful. Hum Hain Khalnayak, Jai Maa Karwa Chauth, and Ramgarh Ke Sholay are among those movies, whose scripts were written exclusively for Kishore. He acted in around 100 movies, and in most cases mimicking actor Dev Anand. He has also played brief roles for several television serials.

 

Kishore Bhanushali was born on 13 March 1962 in Uttar Pradesh. Since childhood he started mimicking the legendary actor Dev Anand, and it worked for him. In body language, face resemblance and voice modulation he became a look-alike of Dev Anand, and this striking resemblance gave him a good career in Bollywood as well as stage shows. His son’s name is Kalpat Bhanushali and he also mimicked the legendary actor.
