Kiran Nadar Biography 
Kiran Nadar is an art collector and philanthropist who currently resides in Delhi. She is the wife of Shiv Nadar – the founder of HCL, and mother of Roshni Nadar, who currently serves as the Executive Director and the CEO of HCL Enterprise. Roshni is single child to her parents. Her son-in-law Shikhar Malhotra currently serves as the Vice Chairman of HCL Healthcare. Shikhar founded the Shiv Nadar Schools in 2012, and is associated with many educational institutions for under privileged children. Kiran Nadar, her daughter and son-in-law currently serve as the trustees of Shiv Nadar Foundation. Kiran is also the founder of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art.
Kiran Nadar was born in 1951. She met her future husband Shiv Nadar at an advertising agency where she worked, love blossomed between the two and they got married. Roshni Nadar is their single child, and the only heir to HCL group of companies. Kiran Nadar is also one of the top contract bridge players in India. Kiran started her professional career with an advertising agency, and after marriage she completely switched over her career. Now she is mostly associated with the educational organizations started by Shiv Nadar Foundation and other philanthropic activities.
Kiran Nadar is today rated as an adventurous art collector. She runs Kiran Nadar Museum of Art, or KNMA in south Delhi. Contemporary artworks by Subodh Gupta, Vivan Sundaram, Gulam Mohammed Sheikh, Navjot Altaf and many others fill its 34,000-square-feet space. At another 18,000-square-feet space at the HCL office in Noida, works of modern masters such as M F Husain, S H Raza, Ram Kumar and F N Souza are displayed.
Nadar's affair with art started in the 1980s at an amateurish level. It was the time soon after her marriage while she was busy with household and decorating house. Once she interacted with the legend, M. F. Husain when she commissioned artworks for her home, and after that a special interest grew inside her mind. She travelled and visited art venues across the world, and collected many works.
