Kiran Janjani Biography

Kiran Janjani is a popular actor associated with Bollywood and television shows. He has also appeared in a few music albums and is a successful model too. He made his film debut as a male stripper through the bold film – Oops! in 2003. Though he was not quite successful as an actor of big screen, he gained popularity through television ads. He is also quite popular through numerous television ads he has been featured since late 1990s. He was featured in the popular music video of Harry Anand – Chaahat in its title track, ‘Yeh dil nahi raha mera teri chahat mein’. Popular actress Nauheed Cyrusi shared screen space with him in this popular music video.

Kiran started his career as a model in the late 1990s. He studied at Colegio Cosmopolitano de Colombia. He also did his acting training at New York Film Academy, apart from his management studies in Mumbai. He is married to Ritu Janjani, special effects makeup artist. He made his film debut as male lead with 2003 film – Oops! For its controversial subject chosen, the movie faced censor board issues. But it was finally released. It told the story of male stripping and an affair between a middle-aged woman and a younger boy (his girlfriend’s mother). The movie which marked directorial debut of Deepak Tijori was a major flop at box office. Mita Vashisht and Adyasha played mother and daughter roles in the film.   

Kiran later acted in B-grade movies such as Sau Jhooth Ek Sach - The Uninvited, Jalwa - Fun In Love, Sitam, Stop, Haseena - Smart, Sexy, Dangerous etc. In 2010 he played a supporting role in comedy film - Benny and Babloo. He played the supporting role of Vikas Nanda in TV series, Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath and was also seen in CID. In the television show Webbed, he was seen flirting a girl Rashi Mal 20 years junior to him. He played Teejay Sidhu's husband in the show - 'Santoshi Maa'. He also participated in Nach Baliye Season 3.
