Khalid Siddiqui Biography

Khalid Siddiqui is a popular actor associated with Bollywood and television shows. He is a successful model too. As a film actor, he is best known for his role as Air Voice manager in Aamir Khan starrer Ghajani. A popular model, he is quite familiar to Indian audience and TV viewers through the numerous ads he has been featured since 1990s. ICICI Bank, Bombay Dyeing, Cadbury Perk, Suzuki Alto, Ponds, Ariel and Gillette are some of his most popular ads through which he became familiar to TV viewers. He has also acted in a few music videos since late 1990s.

He was born in 1974. His entry to entertainment industry was as a model at the age of 24, a time when models think about retirement plans. It was through TV commercials and music videos he became indeed popular and became a household name. His Cadbury’s Perk ad with Preity Zinta was very popular. He has also worked with Bipasha Basu, Mahima Chaudhary and Lara Dutta for ads. Red Label Tea, Ariel, Bharati Telecom, ICICI, Ponds, Gillette etc are some of his successful ad campaigns. His success as a model earned him TV shows and also a few Bollywood roles in supporting characters.

He appeared on a music video directed by Subhash Ghai, followed by many other videos. A hot actor for music videos in the late 1990s and early 2000s, among his popular videos are 'Rhythm of the World' by Colonial Cousins, 'Tum Yaad Aaye' by Alka Yagnik and Jaaved Akhtar, 'Pehle to Kabhie Kabhie Gum Tha' by Altaf Raja, 'Seher' by  Jagjit Singh, 'Nasha Hi Nasha' by Sukhwinder Singh and many more.  The actor had future plans of theatre. He made his mark in the film industry with 'Joggers' Park'. Later he was seen in the movies - 'Apaharan', 'The Film', 'Ho Sakta Hai', ‘Gajani’ etc. Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha, Dream Girl, Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan ki and The Adventures of Hatim are among his noted TV roles.

In October 2015 he came to limelight when he was arrested for molesting his estranged wife – Raahat, an interior designer. The charges of sexual harassment and an attempted homicide have been imposed on this actor by Raahat and he had to spend in jail. However a bail was granted later. The couple (parents of two kids) has been living separately for the past two years and a new girl has entered Khalid’s life. Raahat claimed that Khalid is not financially supporting her and children though he is financially stable.
