Kavya Shetty Biography

Kavya Shetty is a south Indian film actress who predominantly works in Kannada movies. She also acted in a couple of Tamil films. She made her film debut in 2013 through the Kannada movie, Nam Duniya Nam Style and since then has appeared in around 8 movies belonging to Kannada and Tamil releases. In 2014 she acted in Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Shivani marking her career debut in both these industries, and later acted in one more Tamil film, Idhu Enna Maayam in 2015. She played parallel lead in the movie. I am in love,Vijayaaditya, Nam Duniya Nam Style and Ishtakamya are her Kannada releases up-to-date and Smile Please and Zoom are her upcoming projects.

Kavya M Shetty was born in Mangalore, Karnataka. Her father was a college professor and her mother, a bank employee. She completed Computer Science Engineering from N.M.A.M. Institute of Technology, Nitte in 2010. She started her modelling career while at college and appeared in a few TV commercials as well. She participated in 2011 Femina Miss India beauty pageant, and bagged the prestigious subtitle – Miss Photogenic. Later she decided to take modelling as full time profession. She was spotted by Prasad Bidapa, who later gave her opportunities to walk as a ramp model. She also appeared in several print and television advertisements.

Shivani – Telugu-Tamil bilingual was her first signed project. However this horror flick had a delayed release and her first release was Kannada movie, Nam Duniya Nam Style where she played a supporting role. Kavya has endorsed many products and owns a successful career as a model. She has been featured in the TV ads - Clinic Plus, Malabar Gold, Toyota Altis, Reliance Jewels, Palam Silks and Santoor.
