Kavin (tamil Actor) Biography

Kavin is a Tamil actor and TV host. He works in both movies and television shows. He began his career in Star Vijay as a television actor, and later moved to acting roles in movies and television. A very popular television actor, he played the role of Murugan in the serial Saravanan Meenatchi, and also the lead in its sequel, Saravanan Meenatchi (season 2), where he essayed Vettaiyan (Saravana Perumal), the role which capitulated him to fame.  He has hosted the reality show Kings of Dance (season 2), and a few award nights for television channels. Natpuna Ennanu Theriyuma is his upcoming movie, where he plays lead opposite Remya Nambeesan.

Kavin was born on 22 June 1990 in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. Currently he resides in the capital city. He joined television industry since 2011. He has been attending auditions since his graduation days. Kana Kaanum Kaalangal marked his acting debut in television, while a brief role in Pizza marked his film debut too. He played supporting role of Vicky in Thayumanavan before he bagged the noted role of Murugan in the serial Saravanan Meenatchi. Meenatchi's Sister's Husband was the role played by him. In the second season of the same show, he played Vettaiyan, the lead role, for which he earned accolades. The show aired during 2013-2016 helped him to bag Vijay Television Awards 2015 as favourite hero.

Some of the movies in which he acted include – Pizza, Indru Netru Naalai, Sathriyan, Natpuna Enannu Theriyuma etc. He played his first lead role through Natpuna Enannu Theriyuma. The movie is slated to release. Interestingly Remya Nambeesan played the female lead in his first release – Pizza and this one too. He has also been casted in lead role for S. R. Prabhakaran’s upcoming flick.
