Karuna Sukka Biography 
Karuna Sukka is an Indian printmaker and painter based in Telangana state. She is best known for her works with large-scale wood-cuts to make prints. Her husband Sunder Sukka is also an artist, best known as a painter from Mahboobnagar district. He belongs to a family of Golla Suddula performers. Karuna has conducted her painting and print exhibitions across the country and has won many awards. She has also conducted her solo exhibitions twice – one in Kochi in 2009 and at Shrishti Art Gallery in 2008.
Karuna Sukka hails from Hyderabad, born in undivided Andhra Pradesh in the year 1980. She completed B.F.A Painting, P.S.T University in 2003 followed by M.F.A Printmaking, University of Hyderabad in 2005 and M.A (Fine) Museology, The M S University of Baroda in 2007. A brilliant student in academics, she has received many scholarships and has also actively participated in solo and group events related to the field of arts and painting. She was a recipient of National Merit scholarship from the Ministry of Culture, HRD in 2007 and many other honours and scholarships.
Her drawings, etchings and wood-cuts are autobiographical anecdotes. She is married to Sunder Sukka and has one daughter. In 2011 the couple conducted an exhibition of paintings and prints at Shrishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad. She held her first group exhibition "Spote” Art for peace Exhibition at parliament of India, New Delhi in 2002, and till now has appeared in more than 25 exhibitions across the country. Mostly associated with Hyderabad art circle, "The Full Scape" at DHI Art Space, Hyderabad, ‘Raining consciousness and delight’, in Ailamma Art gallery, Hyderabad and "Woodcut 2015" at DHI Art Space, Hyderabad are among her recent exhibitions.
