Karmveer Choudhary Biography

Karmveer Choudhary is an Indian actor known for playing supporting roles on big screen and small screen. He is associated with Bollywood & Rajasthani movies, and Hindi soap dramas too. He acted as a government sports officer in Salman Khan starrer Sultan in 2016 followed by Aamir Khan’s father in Dangal released the same year. Incidentally both are sports dramas, and helped him to come to spotlight for a while. He earned acclamation for doing villain roles onscreen for Rajasthani movies and earned several accolades. He had a brief stint in politics associated with Samajwadi party before he joined entertainment industry in full swing. He contested in 2003 elections from Mavli constituency in Udaipur.

 

Karmveer Choudhary, often referred to as Karamveer Chaudhary was born on 24 July 1963 in Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan. He is married to Bhawna Choudhary since 1987 and the couple has two children. He started his career with Rajasthani Cinema, and played villain role in more than 20 films. He was awarded for Best Villain at the Jaipur Film Festival in 2014. He was associated with state politics before he joined Hindi entertainment industry. He unsuccessfully contested in 2003 from Mavli constituency in Udaipur representing Samajwadi party.

 

He is associated with Hindi entertainment industry since early 2010s. As a Bollywood actor, he was first noted in 2011 hit film, My Brother Ki Dulhan, where he played a brief role of Hariyanvi Girl's Father. Same year he was also seen in Hindi flick, Hum Tum Shabana in the role of a gangster. He gained popularity through the character and negative roles he played on small screen, and some of his noted performances include - Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Shaitaan, CID, Crime Patrol, Balika Vadhu, Badho Bahu, Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, Adaalat, Aamna Samna,  Savdhaan India etc. His role as Panditji in Bollywood controversial film, Waarrior Savitri was noticed though the film was a flop.
