Karishma Kotak Biography

Karishma Kotak is a successful British model. She is a television anchor and actress of India. She was born and brought up in London. Karishma began her modelling career at the age of 16 and worked for many projects in London. In September 2005, Karishma moved to Mumbai and got offers from India. 2006 Kingfisher Calendar was one of her first assignments in India to begin with. Then she became a known face for Indian television viewers as she appeared in television ads of Titan Xylus, Kalyan Silks, Elmore, Achakottil Jewels, CMR Grand, Dove, Pond's, Wella Hair Color, Tanishq, Rang Sarees, Alapatt Jewels, Saffola, Sagar Sarees and Sobha Wedding Galaxy. She appeared in two television commercials of Idea mobile with Abhishek Bachchan which was very popular. Her TV commercial with Salman Khan for Relaxo Footwear also needs mention.


Karishma has done modelling for brands like FCUK and Ralph Lauren and has walked on ramp for many modeling assignments. She walked the ramp for the Lakme Fashion Week 2006, Asiana Bridal Show, M.A.C. Cosmetics, Provogue, Titan Xylus launch 2006 and and Kochi International Fashion Week Season 2. In January 2013, she was chosen as the brand ambassador of Vizag Fashion Week at The Park Hotel, Visakhapatnam organized by Kishfisher Ultra. She is equally successful as a host of events too. She successfully hosted 2013 Indian Premier League auction in February 2013 at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai.

Karishma Kotak has appeared in a few music videos. Sonu Nigam and Sapna Mukherjee's track Madbhari, Me Against Myself by British singer-songwriter Jay Sean and Belly Dancing by reggae DJ Apache Indian are among the noted video albums. She entered movies with Telugu movie, Shankar Dada Zindabad, remake of Lage Raho Munna Bhai where she worked with mega star Chiranjeevi. The movie was a big success. Her first Hindi movie was Season's Greetings, released in January 2010. Two months later, her debut Malayalam movie was released – In ghost house Inn. In Bigg Boss, Season 6 she appeared as a contestant in 2012.
