Kanti Bajpai Biography 
Kanti Prasad Bajpai, best known as Kanti Bajpai is an academician, writer and administrator is a notable international affairs analyst on Indian television, also known as an expert on Indo-China relations. He currently serves as a professor at National University of Singapore. Headmaster of The Doon School, Dehradun and Vice-Dean for Research of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy are some of the administrative positions he held earlier. He is the son of Uma Shankar Bajpai, an Indian diplomat and a veteran journalist, and the grandson of Girija Shankar Bajpai, an eminent Indian civil servant, diplomat and Governor who lived in the pre-independent era.
Kanti Prasad Bajpai hails from a family of diplomats and journalists. His father Uma Shankar Bajpai and grandfather Girija Shankar Bajpai were veterans in this field, and Kanti too followed their legacy. Kanti also gained recognition as an analyst. He completed his schooling at the prestigious The Doon School, and later served as its principal at Dehradun too. He completed his PhD in Political Science from the University of Illinois in 1982. He had earlier specialized in economics and politics.
After returning to India in 1989, he worked as a lecturer for many years in India and abroad. He taught at Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Wesleyan University, Institute of Contemporary Studies of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation, Jawaharlal Nehru University etc at different points of times in the 1990s and also served as a visiting professor for a few universities later. He also worked as a researcher.
As a writer some of his published books include - South Asia after the Cold War: international perspectives, International Relations in India: Theorising the region and nation, International Relations in India: Bringing theory back home etc.
