Kamal Sidhu Biography

Kamal Sidhu is an Indo-Canadian model and Bollywood actress. She played the second lead role of Veena Sanghvi in 1997 Bollywood thriller film, Aar Ya Paar. She is a successful TV host, VJ and show presenter. Even at the age of 50, she is fit and fabulous and manages to look radiant as well. She speaks Tagalog, English, Punjabi and French languages. She completed her pre-medical studies before she chose modelling and entertainment as her career choice. She is of Indian origin, born to a Sikh family.

Kamal Sidhu was born on February 24, 1968 to Sikh parents in Philippines. When she reached 6, the family relocated to Canada. She was brought up in Canada, where she completed her education as well. She has been an athlete also, who completed training to compete at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, representing Canada in the heptathlon. But an unexpected injury brought an end to her sports career. She completed her pre-medical studies and by that time she started her modelling career. She was advised by her cousin to take modelling as career option.

She contested Miss India-Canada contest in 1991 and was chosen as the first runner-up. It marked a successful beginning of her career as a model. Later she moved to India to pursue a career in entertainment industry. She started her career with Channel V and later worked with MTV Asia and AXN. Her Canadian accent became popular among the teens, and the youth started imitating her style of dress, hair and talking. She also worked with Zoom TV, hosting an adult show on sex lives and also National Geographic Channel, where she anchored the show, EarthPulse. She also worked with Star Sports channel in 2016.
