K. T. S. Padannayil Biography 
K. T. S. Padannayil is a popular character artist associated with Malayalam cinema and serials for the past two decades. He has been active in the film scene since 1990s and known for many prominent roles. ‘Valliamama’ in ‘Dillivala Rajakumaran’ was one of his early noted roles. Rajasenan’s ‘Aniyanbava Chettanbava’ in 1995 marked his acting debut and since then he has appeared in over 60 Malayalam films. Padannayil is also regular on comedy serials and shows on television and has so far starred in more than 100. He essays comedy roles with ease.
He was born in Thrippunithura, Kochi in 1933. His full name is Kochuparambil Thai Subramaniam. He is the youngest of six siblings. He studied at Saraswathi Vilasam School till class 5 and discontinued his studies due to financial troubles. He was not bad in studies and loved to read. He has been active in theatre for many years, which paved his way to films as well. Vivaha Dallal (1956) – was his first amateur play and he acted and directed the play. He received a special prize for the first play, staged at Khadi outlet in Tripunithura for their annual celebrations. Since then in a career spanning to more than 50 years he staged more than 100 plays associated with many theater troupes.
He worked with theatre troupe - Changanasserry Geedha for more than 10 years. His first break to films was given by Rajasenan. Aniyan Baava Chettan Baava – was his first film and since then he has been regularly associated with films. Amar Akbar Anthony and Kunjiramayanam are his recent releases. He also owns a small business shop in his hometown. He is often seen riding his bicycle through the streets of Tripunithura.
