K. P. Vivekananda Biography

K. P. Vivekananda is a well-known Indian politician from the newly formed south Indian state Telangana. He is currently a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the Quthbullapur constituency of Ranga Reddy district. He is a member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, who defeated K Hanmanth Reddy of TRS by a margin of 39,024 votes to claim his first ever MLA seat.

 

K. P. Vivekananda was born into a family of leaders, with close link to administration and local politics. His father K. M. Pandu served as Sarpanch (village chief) for two times and was first Chairman of Quthbullapur Municipality. His mother’s name is K. Shyamala. Vivekananda completed his school education from Chintal and bachelor of engineering from Osmania University. He was deeply influenced by his father who was a local leader and social worker, and Vivekananda determined to enter politics.

 

He started Shakthi Yuva Seva Samithi, a youth organization, and he joined active politics in year 2000 soon after completing his engineering degree. He contested state assembly elections for the first time from TRS in 2009 in Quthbullapur constituency. But he lost the seat to an independent candidate Kuna Srisailam Goud. Yet he continued with his public service, and earned fame as a young and dynamic leader of the masses.

 

In 2014, he got elected to state assembly of Telangana and earned fame as a young leader. Needless to say, he presented himself in a well-mannered and disciplined way in the Assembly, which earned him a good name in the public. He represented India in the U.S Young Leaders Political Program and was one among the leaders from Telangana to be chosen for this moment.
