K. P. A. C. Sunny Biography

K. P. A. C. Sunny, also credited as Sunny D'Cruz and Sunny was a Malayalam film actor known for supporting and villain roles. He spent more than 35 years in film industry and was exceptionally good in portraying Police Officer roles. He was associated with prestigious K.P.A.C drama troupe for many years and hence prefixed KPAC tag with his name. He was associated with Malayalam cinema since 1970. He passed away in 2006. He was active in films till his death. Five fingers, released in 2005 was his last movie.

He was born in Chavara, Kochi in 1934. He graduated from Fathima Matha College. He was active in cultural activities and was a good stage actor since his schooldays. He scripted a drama "Sneham Anaswaramanu" which made him popular in the school. He became Arts secretary at his college. He was associated with Kala Nilayam as a professional artist before joining KPAC Kayamkulam, where he worked for many years. He also worked as an accountant in government sector. He was associated with many theatre groups like Attingal Desabhimani Theatres, National Theatres, Nalanda Theatres and Vayalar Natakavedi during his life time.

'Priyamulla Sofia' directed by A.Vincent marked his acting debut. The movie was released in 1970. Very soon he got busy as a film actor and he was less active in theater afterwards. He owns more than 250 films in his career span of 35 years. ‘rajavinte makan’, 'Hridayam Oru Kshetram', 'Angadi', 'Ayirappara', ‘The king’, 'No.20 Madras Mail', 'Muhurtham Pathinonnu muppatinu', 'Boeing Boeing' and 'Nyayavidhi' are some of his noted roles. He passed away aged 72.
