K. N. Rao Biography

K. N. Rao is a Hindu astrologer and author of many books on Hindu Astrology. He is the Advisor and founder member of the world's largest school of astrology at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi. He also edits the Journal of Astrology and also guides researches related to Vedic Astrology. He along with B V Raman are regarded as the noted two astrologers who brought Vedic Astrology to mainstream and made it popular also. He has also played a significant part in making this subject a part of academic studies in many universities. He was the Chief Guest at the Second Conference of the American Council of Vedic Astrology in 1993 and was invited for the next two annual sections too, though he didn’t attend.

 
Rao was born on October 12, 1931 in Rao learned astrology from his mother K. Saraswati Devi. His full name is Kotamraju Narayana Rao. After retiring from Indian Audits and Accounts Service as Director General in 1990, he gave full time to astrology. He has made many predictions about politics, international events, natural and man-made disasters. A few of them include Sonia Gandhi's political rise after 1998, death of Benazir Bhutto, Gujarat earthquake in 2001, US President Bill Clinton being involved in land or sex scandals, fall of Deve Gowda government in 1997 and big change in the central government in 1989. According to him, "Technically, Jyotish should not be called Vedic Astrology.”

 He has authored numerous books including Karma and Rebirth In Hindu Astrology, Learn Hindu Astrology Easily, Astrology, Destiny & The Wheel Of Time, Timing Events Through Vimshottari Dasha, Learn Successful Predictive Techniques of Hindu Astrology, Yogis, Destiny and the Wheel of Time, Enigmas in Astrology, Kaal Sarpa Yoga-Why such fright? And Jyotisha the super-science. He has also edited several astrology magazines.
